This statement applies to Stockchecker Pty Ltd (ABN 50 629 054 922 / ACN 629 054 922) trading as In-Stock?, “Check Product Availability” mobile application.
We collect personal information about you for the purposes of providing the services. This policy details how data about you is collected, used and secured.
By using services on this In-Stock? platform, you agree and where required you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set out in this policy.
1. Collection of information
When you use the platform, you may have to provide information about yourself including your name, address(es), telephone number(s), electronic address(es) and other contact details and payment information such as credit or debit card information and bank account details.
We may also collect transaction details relating to your use of our products and services, including but not limited to feedback, posted information in chat, pictures, location services.
The application’s payments system is handled using Stripe and the applicable Stripe Services Agreement and the Stripe Privacy Policies applies here. You can review it at stripe.com/en-au/privacy-center/legal.
When you load money into your account, you use a credit card, which has associated encryptions. The app does not have access to this information. This is stored with Stripe payments.
When you transfer money from your account to your bank account, you enter your BSB and account number. Again Stripe payments handle this transfer and the app does not have access to this information.
Stripe has a PCI DSS Level 1 certification. PCI DSS Level 1 is a set of requirements to ensure that companies that store, transmit or process credit card data to the highest standards. PCI DSS Level 1 is the highest level of compliance.
2. How your information is used
Your personal information is only used for the purposes of providing the services offered through the platform. We may in the future, also use and analyse the personal information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop the business.
We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first seeking your consent, or where authorised or required by law.
We may use your personal information to contact you about the platform, any further improvements or changes in the application.
3. Disclosure of your information
Third parties like Stripe Payments who we use for the payments process have access to your personal information.
We may use the personal information that you provide to us if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with (and/or where we believe we are under a duty to comply with) any legal obligation; or in order to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4. Security of information
Your account is protected by a password that you select. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use and disclosure, however we cannot guarantee the absolute security of that information, or that our systems will be completely free from third party interception or are incorruptible from viruses.
We cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted on the Platform and do not accept responsibility for the security of information you send to or receive from us over the internet, or for any unauthorised access or use of that information. Any transmission is at your own risk. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the security of your passwords and/or account information.
We do not run ads or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Our application is for Users over the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect, use, secure or maintain personal data of children.
5. Accessing and updating
We will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date. If your personal details change, such as your address or phone number, please amend your profile accordingly.
You have the right to see the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to make any changes to ensure that it is accurate and up to date, unless an exception under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies. If you wish to do this, please contact us using the contact details set out below. In the event that you make this request, we may charge a fee for retrieving this information, in which case we will inform you of the fee and obtain your agreement to that fee before providing the information.
6. Cookies
Our platform is delivered by application only and as such limited cookies are used. These are usually storing user preferences in the app.
7. Changes to our privacy policy
Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted to the Website and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
